Add Pilotfish to GitHub · about 5 minutes

Here's what happens next.

Three steps, and you can stop after any of them.

  1. Install the app on GitHub

    github.com · 1 min

Pick which repositories Pilotfish can see. Installing also signs you in, so there's no separate account. Nothing is posted on GitHub until you choose how Pilotfish runs.

  2. It learns each repo on its first run

once per repo · a few min

The first time you ask for a run in a repo, it works out how to install, build and test it on a disposable machine, then checks the setup on a fresh one. Later runs skip this.

  3. See it work

    real runs · a minute

Real runs on public projects, the way Pilotfish reported them. Then you choose when it runs on yours: only when asked, with a label, or on every new bug report.

What Pilotfish can access

  • Code and metadataread only To learn how to build and test each repo.
  • Issuesread and write To read bug reports. It only writes once you've chosen how it runs.

Your code only runs in disposable sandboxes on Pilotfish's machines, deleted after each run. Never on your laptop, your servers or your CI.
